 4.Tips

Don’t spray directly at a 90o angle – This will only cause the dirt to get stuck deeper into the surfaces instead of washing it away. That being said, you should hold the wand at a 45o angle to ensure the best cleaning performance.

Always keep the water going when the machine is on – since your pressure washer machine uses fresh water to cool down its engine, you shouldn’t keep water inside for too long, since the heated water won’t be suited for cooling any more. Every once in a while, even when you don’t use it, just spray the gun a few times to introduce new water to the unit. Or else, you should turn off the machine if you don’t need to use it any time soon.

5.Prepare the operation

Before you should attempt to work with your high pressure washer, there are a few preparations that need to be done. All of which will guarantee the best experience with the machine.

Start by getting water supply from a suitable source. Most pressure washers machines will require water to be at 0.5 to 2 GPM, so you can easily connect them to your garden hose. Also make sure that the connections are completely secured and form fitting so that the machine can function properly.

Once that’s finished, you can turn on the water faucet completely, set the spray wand to low pressure, or choose the widest fan setting if your devices come with nozzles. Then work on the trigger to release any remaining water and air inside the pump. After that, your machine is ready to be turned on.

6.FAQ:

A: What is GFCI?

Q: A GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) is an automatic device that offers personal protection against lethal electrical shock or electrocution.

It is a special electrical receptacle or outlet that can stop electrical power within milliseconds as a safety precaution.

In general, GFCIs are installed wherever there is the potential for contact between a person and an electrical appliance in or near moisture, water, or water pipes.

AWhat do the different colors on the nozzles mean?

For new users, you need to understand the different uses of the colored nozzles, as they can cause potential damages to the targeted surfaces and even hurt you if being used incorrectly.

And in general, you’ll find your pressure washers come with 5 different color options, each representing a certain level of power and concentrated stream that comes out from your machine.

Red – This tip is marked with red color, simply because it’s the most powerful and dangerous nozzle, especially if you are working with a powerful machine. The tip will send water out at a 0° angle, which means that it comes with the highest level of pressure. It can be used to effectively spot treat any stubborn dirt, but you shouldn’t point it toward others, or spray at close range, since it can cause real damage.

Yellow – According to the pressure level, the yellow nozzle tip creates a spray at 15°, which is enough to work on tough surfaces like concrete driveways, pavements, or patios. And while it won’t likely cause any damage, you shouldn’t use the tip to work on more dedicated surfaces, such as wood.

Green – The green nozzle is considered the universal tip for your pressure washer, as it comes with a wide 25°angle while still providing decently-powered sprays. Use this to wash off dirt on your cars, mildew on decks, and even dirty walkways.

White – Following the universal green color, the white nozzle is also among the most commonly used pressure spray tips. Here, the 40° spray won’t deliver the most powerful spray, but will enable a large spray pattern, allowing users to comfortably work on many of their cleaning tasks. And if your machine is strong enough, you can enjoy adequate cleaning power compared to the green or even yellow nozzle on lesser models.
