High-pressure pump direct transmission is characterized by the main plunger's movement speed, that is, the extrusion speed, is easy to change and control, high-pressure liquid energy utilization is high, and pressure loss is small. The disadvantage is that the power of the installed high-pressure pump and motor must be selected according to the maximum extrusion force and maximum extrusion speed required during extrusion, so the utilization factor of the pump and motor is not high.

For alloys with slow extrusion speeds, such as hard aluminum alloys, the capacity of the pump can be selected smaller, and its utilization rate is correspondingly higher, so the direct transmission method of the high-pressure pump is more suitable at this time. In recent years, due to the development of hydraulic extruder, especially the emergence of large-capacity high-pressure variable oil pumps, the number of extruders directly driven by high-pressure pumps is increasing.

In this transmission method, the high-pressure liquid pumped by the high-pressure pump can have two routes, one is to enter the extruder through the control mechanism, and the other is to enter the high-pressure main accumulator. When the amount of liquid used by the extruder is less than that pumped by the high-pressure pump, the excess high-pressure liquid pumped by the high-pressure pump enters the accumulator and stored; conversely, when the amount of liquid used by the extruder is large, it is stored in the original The high-pressure main liquid in the accumulator is used to supplement it, so the accumulator plays the role of energy storage and regulation. In this way, the capacity of the high-pressure pump can be smaller than when it is directly driven, and its utilization rate is also high.
